Infinity Community Solutions Ltd. welcomes Mel Harvie to the leadership role of General Manager Therapeutic Intervention Services’

At Infinity Community Solutions Ltd., leadership is not just about experience. It is about values, care and a deep respect for the people we walk alongside. That is why we are proud to welcome Mel Harvie, General Manager, Therapeutic Intervention Services’, to our leadership team.

A qualified Social Worker with more than 20 years’ experience in the community services and child protection sector, Mel brings a depth of knowledge that spans every level of service delivery. She has worked in frontline residential care roles, in clinical practice and in senior executive leadership. Her career reflects a genuine commitment to quality care, best practice and long-term outcomes for children, young people and families. Mel has worked alongside individuals experiencing complex trauma and high support needs. What continues to motivate her is seeing how early care, consistency and connection can shape lives well into the future.

Mel’s leadership style is grounded, calm and deeply reflective. She speaks openly about how her passion for advocacy has matured over time.

Her leadership has evolved from individual action to a systems-aware approach. This approach creates lasting, meaningful change.

It is this balance of heart and discipline that makes her leadership both compassionate and effective. She values collaboration and consultation. She is drawn to Infinity’s boutique, intentional service model, which prioritises personalised care and strong relationships.

What resonates most for Mel is the opportunity to contribute to a positive team culture and to implement models of care that translate directly into better outcomes for the people we support. For her, this work is not just professional. Both her head and her heart are firmly rooted in the sector.

When asked what advice she would offer others working in community services, Mel said:

“Remember the humanity of the people we support. Children and families are not defined by their behaviours, emotions or trauma. They

are human. They are deserving of dignity, care and non-judgement.”

At Infinity Community Solutions Ltd., these principles guide how we work. Empowerment, compassion and self-determination remain at the centre of everything we do, fostering hope and supporting children, young people and families to achieve positive outcomes that last a lifetime.

We are pleased to have Mel join Infinity Community Solutions Ltd. We look forward to the leadership, care and integrity she brings to our organisation and the communities we serve.
