Celebrating 12 months with Infinity Community Solutions General Manager

Sarah had extensive experience working the Child Protection Sector before coming to work at Infinity in 2018.   With knowledge in residential care, foster and kinship care, disability and homelessness and skills from working in a variety of management roles Sarah has been the perfect fit as General Manager for Infinity Community Services.

Sarah tells us why she loves working for Infinity and her key achievements for the last year as she celebrates 12 months working for Infinity.

Q: What is it about working at Infinity that you love?

I love that Infinity is focussed on the kids and families that we are here to care for. Infinity is about family inclusiveness as a part of their model and is committed to providing an individualised response to meeting children’s needs. Infinity truly live their commitment to making a positive difference to the lives of others, of being innovative and are passionate about what they do. I love being a part of this.

I feel that I can truly make a difference to the children and families that we care for. I love that no day is ever the same, that I am challenged every day and that I can be innovative in the work that I do. I get to work with and lead an amazing and passionate group of people, children and families.

Q What are some key strengths you bring to the role as General Manager?

The diversity of my roles throughout my 20 year plus career has meant I have worked in counselling children, young people and families.   The experience I have gain working with people from my roles in case management to senior management roles has prepared me to take on this position as General Manager.

Q What has been a key achievement for you as General Manager in the last 12 months?

Developing positive relationships with our parents and children continue to be a key achievement in my role as General Manager. It is an achievement when I can say I am a part of the changing system in how families are involved in their children’s lives whilst in residential care.

Q What are your hopes for the next 12 months?

I have been a part of a number of children returning home to live with their parents and I enjoy seeing a lot of positive progress for our children.   My hope is that we [Infinity] will continue to make a difference in the lives of the children and families we are privileged to care for.
