Infinity Community Solutions recognises the limitations of government funding when it comes to supporting the exceptional efforts of individual children and young people in care. This is one of the reasons they launched the Infinity Boost Awards in late 2021.
After early applications were processed, Infinity Community Solutions is proud to announce the recipient of the first boost award.
In December 2021, a young person excelling in soccer in regional Queensland received a once off ‘boost’ to support his development in a sport he loves. Not only does he excel in his team but he coaches and support his club more broadly. This young person has demonstrated he is a true leader.
In addition to receiving funds for new soccer boots of his choice, the young person will benefit from an additional boost in the form of an extra special coaching session.
A big thanks to former Socceroo goal keeper Mitch Langerak for offering to do a 30 minute skype coaching session with our first boost award recipient. The team at Infinity Community Support knew of Mitch through the work of his Mum, who is a social worker in the community. Mitch has always gone the extra mile to support others and his generous offer has been gratefully received.
Executive Director, Ms Annaley Clarke said this is an exciting initiative funded by Infinity Community Solution. As a social purpose organisation, it exciting to be able to recognise the achievement of children and young people who are working hard at something they love.
The Infinity Boost awards are open to Queensland children in care who are excelling academically, in sporting areas or in extracurricular activities. If you know, care for or work with a child or young person who is excelling in an area of their life, and a little bit extra would make a difference complete an application form today and submit it through this email address: email@example.com.
